INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL FESTIVAL "TOWNS"

Since 5 years, 2 times a year, in winter and summer, architects from all over the world gather in the most incredible places in Russia - the Baikal, Altai, the Crimea and ancient northern cities - to build their ‘own Town’.


February 27 finished Tenth Festival of Architecture from the series "Towns". Jubilee Festival gathered at the snow-white expanse of the Russian north young architects from all over Russia and from Finland.

The theme of the festival was the erection of "Snow Village", the main motive - a modern interpretation of Russian hut, which was the logical continuation of a raised last year, the theme Eco-housing. First, in Kargopol, and then in the Altai young architects tried their hands to create a conceptual eco-sites.
The festival suggested and place for his conduct. The project site located near the Great Ustyug, right on the demesne of Santa Claus. In snow-covered pine forest, along the trails of fairy tales, appeared more than 30 snow and ice architect objects.
